Asbury University

Asbury College, a small, private four-year school in Wilmore, Kentucky, embodies a commitment to Christian spirituality as well as strong academics. Offering more than 50 undergraduate majors, Asbury College’s departments exist within five distinctive schools. For example, the school of arts and sciences encompasses business, literature, history and creative arts. The school of communications teaches film and journalism. The education school trains elementary and secondary school teachers. The graduate and professional studies division provides master’s level training both online and on-campus in education and social work. Academics at Asbury are built around the spiritual and religious tenets of the Bible and are also of high academic quality. The majority of professors hold the highest degrees in their fields and many of them are seasoned scholars in their disciplines. Career counseling is also centered around Christian teachings, as students take skills assessments and map out career goals, but also receive career counseling in terms of their greater spiritual calling. Student life is crucial to the Asbury experience. Students get to know their instructors and one another as they participate in such activities as campus ministry, discipleship groups, service groups and programs intended to build leadership skills.
