It doesn’t matter if you have a high school diploma or not. If you live somewhere between Tallahassee and Pensacola in Florida and want training in a solid career at a low cost and in little time, look into the programs at Haney Technical Center, located in Panama City. Practical Nursing, Cosmetology, Massage Therapy, Digital Arts and Refrigeration Technology are some of the certificate programs offered at Haney. Depending on which program you choose, you have the possibility of earning a certificate in no more than a year, and in some cases as little as 9 months. Perhaps you don’t have a high school diploma or the basic skills necessary to proceed in vocational training. If so, Haney Tech has programs for you as well in GED preparation and basic English-language skills. Several support services are intended to make your journey through Haney Tech as smooth as possible. Career and academic counseling, an on-campus cafeteria and a media center with computers, books and reference materials are some of Haney’s student services. While the cost is in the single and double digits, if you need assistance there are financial aid opportunities available for eligible students, especially if you need help with books and class materials.
