Unique to Buffalo State College in Buffalo, New York are its distinctive degree offerings, which feature unique blendings of fields and highly specific and broad study options. Part of the State University of New York (SUNY) system, Buffalo State College offers over 150 undergraduate and 60 graduate programs in the arts, sciences, education, and professional studies, among others. One of Buffalo’s more impressive degree offerings is the interdisciplinary study option. Through interdisciplinary studies, students may combine two or more fields. For example, the bachelor’s degree program in Television and Film Arts integrates Theatre Arts, Communications and English Literature. Buffalo State students may even design their own major through the Individualized Studies program. Other programs of study include such distinctive and specific subject-areas as Art Conservation and Fashion and Textile Design.
