BuildDirect Technologies Inc. is an innovative platform for purchasing and selling quality home improvement materials online. It directly connects buyers (consumers and contractors) with sellers (suppliers and manufacturers). Categories include, but are not limited to, flooring, tile, decking, building materials, outdoor, kitchen & bath, moldings & accessories and doors. The company is credited with building the first open network for heavyweight products. In February 2016, BuildDirect launched the BuildDirect Home Marketplace – the world’s largest online marketplace for heavyweight home improvement products. It is an online platform that cuts out the “middle men” to connect the suppliers of home improvement products directly with their customers. The BuildDirect Home Marketplace allows suppliers to manage the sale and distribution of their home improvement products. In February 2017, BuildDirect launched the Gateway Supply Chain, opening their logistics network to third parties and providing access to warehousing services, ground and ocean logistics for any part of the shipping process. The company was founded in 1999 and is based in Vancouver, Canada with warehouses across North America.
