Central Arizona College

Central Arizona College prides itself on catering to a diverse student population throughout the Pinal County region in Arizona. With nine campuses and learning centers, the main one being situated in Coolidge, Central Arizona College is accessible to a great number of students. Central’s associate’s degrees and vocational certificates encompass a broad spectrum of disciplines, leading to careers or four-year degrees in the arts, sciences, business, trade, and technical fields. With the average student being around 35 years old, Central’s student age range is one example of its diversity. The Early College and First Step programs, catering to the youngest end of the spectrum, allow high school students to get a head start on their college study. At the opposite end of the spectrum is the Lifelong Learners program, which provides adults aged 55 and older an opportunity to take short-term courses in various subjects at a reduced cost. Some of Central’s other programs offering service to diverse populations include the Summer Bridge and TRIO programs. These programs serve students with special needs as well as first-generation and low-income students. Central Arizona College offers additional services to all of its students, including tutoring and career services which offers skills assessment, internships and everything in between. Students may apply and qualify for various forms of financial aid including federal grants, work-study and loans.
