Christendom College

For an educational experience at one of Virginia’s premier Catholic colleges, you should consider the Christendom College in Front Royal, Virginia, where academic excellence and Catholic culture are combined to restore the area’s Catholic identity. College life at Christendom is designed to foster the cultivation of wisdom and moral habits. For recreation, students may join one of the many clubs and organizations, like the Legion of Mary, Shield of Roses and Christendom Players. The school strives to produce graduates who will be the leaders of tomorrow, which is why it also provides many opportunities for students to develop leadership skills through internships, student ambassador programs, student government and extracurricular club leader initiatives. Academics at the school include undergraduate degree programs in fields like: * Classical and Early Christian Studies * English Language and Literature * History * Philosophy All undergraduate programs also consist of an 84-hour core curriculum that requires students to take certain philosophy, theology, English, foreign language and political science courses. Graduate programs are offered in Theological Studies, Apostolic Catechetical diplomas and certificate programs. Admissions are determined by an applicant’s high school transcript, ACT or SAT scores, application essays and letters of recommendation. Financial aid is available to eligible students through need and merit-based programs. Full-tuition scholarships are available to eligible students who have scored 32 or above on the ACT or 2100 or higher on the SAT and completed an application and personal essay.
