BRCIC is concentrating on continuing to give weekly bereavement services to those that have experienced traumatic loss, as well as launching a new classes to educate others in suicidology so that they can become local specialists in their areas. The baton rouge crisis intervention center runs the national suicidedology training center. Through relationships with widely renowned issue subject institutions, NSTC strives to more directly influence communities to lessen the impact of suicide. Intake assessments and long term care are provided by mental health professionals. Several clinics across the country are now using this model.
