East Georgia State College

East Georgia College (EGC) in Swainsboro is a great way for Georgia college seekers to pursue a higher education while staying close to home. The school offers programs for transfer to four-year institutions like Georgia Southern University. Associate’s degrees are also awarded in different kinds of study programs: * Agriculture * Business Education * Foreign Language * Geology * Nursing * Political Science There is a pre-professional program as well for those who want to pursue a future in engineering, health care, law or other select fields. Summer courses are even available to students who want to catch up or get ahead on classes. Qualifying high school students are welcome to enroll at EGC before they graduate in order to take college-level courses and earn credit for those courses. Additionally, a special program called “Move On When Ready (MOWR)” allows eligible high school students to attend EGC full time in their last two years. Procedures for admissions include: * Completing an application * Submitting application fee * Turning in transcripts ACT or SAT results are not required for enrollment if applicants will be taking the admissions test (COMPASS) after they are accepted to the school. Students who are interested in financial aid opportunities to help lower their tuition fees should fill out a FAFSA.
