The organization's plain language summaries allow laypeople to grasp detailed and technical information in an easy-to-understand format. All products and events offered or created by FSG are underpinned by the organization's mission of collaboration, translation, innovation, and the convening of the scientific community. All Future Science Group journals publish the plain language summaries offered by the organization. The summary is discoverable, indexed on a database, and contains its own DOI. That ensures that someone wanting to cite the information can cite the summary directly, without the need to cite the original journal article.
