Futuremark is a Finnish software development company that creates software for desktop computers, notebooks, tablets, and smartphones. In 2014, it became a part of UL, a global safety science organization involved in the fields of product safety testing, inspection, and verification services. Futuremark works in cooperation with many of the technology companies to develop industry standard benchmarks that are relevant, accurate, and impartial. As a result, its benchmarks are widely used by the press publications and enthusiast review websites when testing the latest processors, graphics cards, notebooks, and tablets. The company maintains a hardware performance database, using the results submitted by its users to drive online solutions designed to help consumers make informed purchasing decisions. Founded in 1997, Futuremark is headquartered in Helsinki, Finland and has a sales office in Silicon Valley and sales representatives in Taiwan.
