Glenville State College

Whether you’re looking for an associate’s or bachelor’s degree at a public school, the Glenville State College in Glennville, West Virginia has programs for you. Student life at Glennville is exciting, with an abundance of available activities. The High Adventure program offers opportunities to take in the beauty of West Virginia as you sky dive, kayak, snow ski and take part in other outdoor activities. If you’re not one for the outdoors, the school provides many art shows and live theatre performances at its upscale Fine Arts building. The Office of Student Activities encourages involvement in the college community and makes available many co-curricular activities and a number of student clubs and organizations. The school is known for its teacher-education programs, producing students with careers in elementary, middle school and secondary education. Other academics include more than 20 bachelor’s degrees in business, criminal justice, music, land resources and more. Associate’s degrees are offered in forest technology, land surveying and more. Students enrolled in two-year programs may choose to transfer to a four-year university. Admissions require students to submit official high school or GED transcripts, ACT or SAT scores, immunization records and proof of registry for the selective service. Tuition is set lower for West Virginia students. Students who complete a FAFSA may be eligible to receive financial aid through loans, grants and scholarships.
