Hollins University in Roanoke, Virginia, provides a high-quality liberal arts education with an emphasis on instilling and promoting human values. Its undergraduate programs are offered solely to women, while select graduate programs are available to both men and women. To honor its commitment to instilling human values and supporting the community, Hollins offers a completely student-run community service organization called SHARE. On average, about a third of enrolled students engage in community outreach activities, including a service learning program in Jamaica, offered annually. Room and board, as well as a meal plan, are offered, but not required of incoming students.
