One option involves going to school for three years, after which the nursing degree is awarded by St. Peter’s College. The Registered Nurse program offers a well-rounded education that includes liberal arts and sciences as well as classes in nursing theory and supervised clinical experience. The practical nursing program takes at least 12 months to complete and involves classroom study as well as supervised clinical experience. Those who decide to become RN’s after receiving a Practical Nursing degree may continue on to earn that RN degree at Holy Names. Holy Names offers numerous financial aid resources to eligible students including access to Pell grants, a federal nursing loan, Stafford and plus loans and scholarships.
