Holyoke also offers many enjoyable ways for students to get involved in the school community. Academics at Holyoke can prepare students for many different careers, such as: *Addiction Counseling *Banking *Firefighting *Food Service *Medical Assisting *Veterinary Technology Students who wish to transfer can also major in specialized or general academic and creative fields like: *American Studies *Creative Writing *Engineering *Liberal Arts *Math *Photography *Theatre Arts Holyoke has also managed to create a community of student involvement. There are more than 50 student clubs, which include creative arts, religious, special interest and cultural groups. Students may also start a new club whenever they wish. Prospective students will first need to fill out an application for admission, submit transcripts, and then take an assessment test for placement purposes. More than half of Holyoke students receive financial aid. Loans, federal and state grants, work-study and scholarships are all available to eligible students. Eligibility is based on such factors as income. Also, students must attend at least part-time to receive certain forms of aid like loans and scholarships.
