Isothermal Community College

The Isothermal Community College in Spindale, North Carolina, strives to provide a two-year education that nurtures intellectual inquiry, community service and a commitment to excellence in all aspects of character. To cater to all students, the college maintains an open admissions policy, welcoming any qualifying applicant who has earned a high school diploma or GED. Isothermal believes that students must be involved in extracurricular activities in order to thrive. This is why the school offers an active, engaging and exciting student life, with opportunities to enter into the Student Government Association, take part in many workshops designed to help you better develop your professional skills, or volunteer in community outreach programs. Interested students may also become DJs on the college’s own radio station, WNCW-FM. ICC also hosts many guest speakers and performers, from musical acts to inspirational speakers and professional comedians. Academics at the college include a wide range of fields, including Arts and Humanities, Cosmetology and Beauty, Security and Protective Services, and more. Students who complete a FAFSA will be considered for financial aid through its need-based programs. These can include federal grants and loans to its featured scholarships, the Golden LEAF, Jane Kent Cook and Hispanic College Fund programs.
