JCDecaux is the number one outdoor advertising company worldwide, with a total of c. 1.1 million advertising panels in more than 60 countries. JCDecaux is the only pure player worldwide active in the three segments of the outdoor advertising industry (street furniture, transport advertising and billboard advertising), the Group has generated revenues worth a total of €2,813 million in 2014. JCDecaux, who invented the concept of street furniture in 1964, has played a major role in shaping cities for the last fifty years. It all started with a simple idea: to provide cities with street furniture free of charge in exchange for exclusive advertising rights. This business model still shapes JCDecaux's core business of outdoor advertising.
