Judson University in Elgin, Illinois is committed to progressive, hands-on academics as well as to nurturing its students’ Christian faith, helping them to glorify God in all that they do. A four-year evangelical Christian school, Judson University has undergraduate, graduate and online programs. Academics at Judson focus in part on religious studies such as Theology, Christian Ministries and Worship Arts. Judson also offers degrees in secular fields such as Communication Arts, Social Sciences, Math, Fine Art, Business and Music. Graduate programs are offered in such fields as Education and Architecture. Regardless of the program, all academics are taught from a Christian perspective. A unique part of the Judson educational experience is the hands-on, research-based method of learning. Rather than just learning through traditional classroom study, students take on additional projects, research activities, and volunteer or internship work in their field. Student life, like everything at Judson, is grounded in Christian teachings. Whether it’s participating in campus ministry, joining a creative arts club or attending Judson’s drive-in movie night, one’s faith and religious commitment remains constant. Admission requirements include a minimum GPA and a minimum score on the ACT or SAT. Additional requirements, such as a portfolio for art majors, may exist in different departments. Students who need help paying for tuition may apply for federal sources of aid such as grants and loans. Private scholarships may also be available to those who qualify.
