As a community college, Lake Land College strives to provide broad academic support. Whether you’re trying to complete your high school diploma, gain professional training or prepare for baccalaureate study, Lake Land’s academics will help you get there. In terms of vocational training, Lake Land offers associate’s degree and certificate programs in the following career areas: * Agriculture * Allied Health * Business * Humanities and Communications * Math and Science * Social Science/Education * Technology Lake Land also has many programs for students looking to satisfy general education requirements. After completing one of these associate’s degree programs, you’ll be ready to transfer to a four-year college as a junior. More than 10 of these are pre-professional programs, which will prepare you for study in Engineering, Pharmacy, Nursing and more. In order to maximize accessibility, Lake Land College has an open admissions policy. Any member of the community is welcome to enroll in courses, although specific programs may have additional admissions requirements. Financial aid at Lake Land College consists primarily of federal grants, loans and work-study. However, the Lake Land College Foundation administers more than 500 merit scholarships per year. The scholarship application is due on March 1.
