Lehman College

Lehman College is part of the City University of New York system. Located in the Bronx, this liberal arts college has all of the features you’d expect from a member of one of the largest university systems in the United States. With over 100 programs of study from undergraduate to doctoral, Lehman’s academics are particularly extensive. The college also offers a couple of unique academic opportunities. The Macaulay Honors College, which admits only the most talented and motivated, awards its students with a full-tuition scholarship and substantial yearly stipend. Similarly, the Lehman Scholars Program is a progressive living-learning environment in which students have more flexibility with regard to their studies. Lehman makes a point of supporting the arts by bringing outstanding music, theatre and visual art to the college. Of particular note is Lehman Stages, a professional theatre that also hosts ballet and opera productions. The college offers several financial aid opportunities to eligible students, including Title IV programs and academic and special interest scholarships. Departmental scholarships are also available, and you should check with your academic department to see what you can apply for. Lehman also awards some scholarships automatically, based on merit.
