From general education classes to professional training, Linn-Benton Community College (LBCC) has a multitude of resources to offer its students and the northern Oregon community. A two-year, public community college, LBCC is large institution with diverse academics and program offerings: * Adult basic education * College transfer courses * Continuing education * Distance education * General education * Professional training * Programs tailored to students with disabilities Certificates and associate’s degrees are awarded in such areas as: Animal Science, Childhood Care and Education, Civil Engineering Technology, and Wine and Food Dynamics. Support services are provided to students in order to ensure that they are equipped with the tools they need to succeed. Some of the services available at LBCC include academic counseling, career planning, employment opportunities, and tutoring. All prospective students must take a placement exam to be considered for admissions to LBCC, and need to be at least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or GED. The school can help those who do not meet age or schooling requirements. LBCC Tuition rates are lower for residents of California, Idaho, Nevada, Oregon, and Washington. Those who need help paying for tuition can fill out a FAFSA to see if they qualify for any financial aid programs.
