Comprehensive academics, research activities, outside projects and an abundance of student clubs are some of McDaniel College’s more appealing assets. Located in Westminster, Maryland, McDaniel also offers a tightly knit campus community in a highly picturesque setting. McDaniel’s undergraduate majors include Art History, Business Administration, Cinema, Computer Science, Graphic Design and Social Work. At McDaniel College, students can also find less common majors like Classical Civilizations, Deaf Studies, Exercise Science, Interactive Theatre and Sports Journalism. Since McDaniel does pride itself on its varied opportunities and approaches, students may also engage in outside academic projects, independent study courses, study abroad, internships and cutting-edge undergraduate research with the opportunity of presenting and publishing their findings. McDaniel also features the unique January term, which allows for intensive study of one specific subject. Since McDaniel College’s community is a tight-knit one, students get to work closely with faculty. They can also make lifelong friends, and given that McDaniel has more than 100 student organizations to choose from, there are plenty of chances to do this. Admission requirements for undergraduate students include submission of transcripts, SAT or ACT scores, an essay and recommendation letters. McDaniel will also help students to obtain financial aid should they need it.
