Media Development Authority

The Media Development Authority (MDA) was created to develop Singapore into a vibrant global media city as well as foster a creative economy and a connected society. MDA was formed on 1 January 2003 from the merger of the Singapore Broadcasting Authority, the Films and Publications Department, and the Singapore Film Commission. Guiding its work was the Media 21 plan, a blueprint charting the directions for growth for the media industry.
