Experiential education, comprehensive academics and a program for aspiring medical students are some of what’s offered at Monmouth University in West Long Branch, New Jersey. Monmouth University’s academics are categorized into distinctive schools, which include the School of Business, the School of Humanities and Social Sciences, the School of Education and the School of Nursing and Health Studies. Students interested in eventually becoming medical doctors may benefit from the Medical Scholars program, a preparatory degree program for future medical students. Monmouth also has a special degree program for adult learners interested in pursuing a degree. Experiential learning is a hallmark of the Monmouth University experience. Students combine classroom learning with internships and other types of real-world work activities and projects, which solidify and build on classroom knowledge. A campus television and radio station and various arts activities are, along with various student clubs, part of student life. Admission requirements differ depending on whether one is a transfer student, freshman applicant, adult learner, graduate student or an applicant to one of Monmouth’s special programs. In addition to university merit scholarships, undergraduates may apply for federal grants and loans. Graduate students may receive tuition assistance from assistantships and/or loans.
