My Chemical Monitoring (MCM) collects, stores and organizes global regulatory information for individual chemical substances. MCM is a free web tool that allows monitoring, keeping track and anticipating legislative changes on chemical substances in Europe and helps complying with the fast‐evolving EU chemical legislative framework. Since its entry into force in June 2007, the REACH Regulation (EC) 1907/2006 has been updated several times; the lists of substances subject to restrictions (Annex XVII) or authorisation (Annex XIV) have grown, as has the list of Substances of Very High Concern (SVHC). Other EU pieces of legislation have been adopted (e.g. CLP Regulation, Plant Protection Products Regulation, RoHS Directive, Biocidal Products Regulation). This makes MCM essential to remain informed, facilitate industry proactiveness and boost competitiveness. MCM allows creating customized lists of substances, which can be used to: easily and efficiently monitor potentially impacting chemicals legislation in Europe and beyond; be constantly informed about legislative requirements and related obligations necessary to be in compliance with EU chemical laws; monitor the ongoing legislative changes which could impact the use of substances (e.g. risk management measures, restrictions, authorisations, etc...) or lead to the introduction of new obligations (e.g. supply chain communication or notification obligations). MCM has been created especially for: companies that manufacture, use or trade chemical substances; attorneys or law firms operating on chemical legislation; industry associations, whose members have to be kept informed about legislative changes and related obligations; NGOs and government bodies which need to remain updated on ongoing international debates, research findings and emerging risks.
