Oakland City University

Oakland City University is a Christian school where biblical teachings provide the foundation for all educational programs. In addition, students get the benefit of a curriculum that blends different learning methods and a community that is closely knit and faith-oriented. Oakland City University is located in the small town of Oakland City, Indiana, an ideal location for a private university with fewer than 3,000 students. Programs of study are categorized by distinctive areas of study, which include: * Arts and Sciences * Business * Education * Seminary Education There is also a division of adult learning, which provides working adult students the opportunity to get a degree on a schedule that is convenient to them. Online courses are available as well for all students. Weekly chapel services, campus ministry, Bible study and prayer groups, and praise and worship activities are a large part of Oakland City’s fellowship and faith-oriented college life. There are also arts, leadership and special interest student organizations. Those who would like to apply for admission are encouraged to attend one of the school’s personal visit days. In addition to an online application, students need to provide SAT or ACT scores, transcripts or a copy of their GED.
