Since 1994, Professional Training Centers (PTC) has been committed to providing a high quality education to students interested in pursuing a career in allied health care. PTC serves a diverse community in Miami, FL and is dedicated to offering an intellectually stimulating environment through relevant technical training and with an emphasis on critical thinking. The school offers associates degrees, diploma programs and continued education specifically tailored to the allied health care needs of the community it serves. Any student considering a career in allied health care at Professional Training Centers should contact the school to speak with an admissions representative. Our admissions representatives are trained to help students consider their options for academic study, as well as helping them complete their applications. Contact the college for more information on the admissions process. The campus at PTC is located in a quiet residential neighborhood surrounded by beautiful parks and lakes. Students with families can benefit from the nearby daycare centers, schools and shopping centers. Comprised of seven buildings, the campus offers student services such as a cafeteria, library and several laboratories. The laboratories are equipped with updated and advanced technologies used by allied health care industry professionals. Each classroom has computers, video projectors and multimedia software to help professors teach the course material in compelling ways. In order to help our students get the most out of their career training, each program requires that they complete an externship at a related health facility. The externship allows students to gain hands-on experience in their fields that is valued by many employers. Students interested in professional development can take advantage of the school's continuing education courses, which allow them to brush up on and update their professional skills. Tuition varies depending on which program a student pursues. To help students who cannot afford the cost of tuition, Professional Training Centers provides a variety of financial aid services. Students who are eligible may apply for financial assistance from the state and federal government. Contact PTC to get more information on obtaining financial aid. Students receive career advisement starting with an initial meeting with the admissions representative and extending through the course of their programs. PTC offers job placement services to all students and alumni, although the school can never guarantee that a student will obtain a job. Available services include resume writing assistance, interviewing techniques, time management skills and job search techniques.
