Southwestern Assemblies Of God University

Southwestern Assemblies of God University (SAGU) is an evangelical Christian university offering a bible-centered curriculum. Located in Waxahachie, Texas, SAGU offers theological and academic degrees at the undergraduate and graduate levels. The Church Ministries division offers theological training in everything from Pastoral Counseling to Youth Ministries. Students may also enroll in academic programs leading to degrees in such fields as accounting, counseling, marketing, history or social work. Graduate programs include a doctorate degree in Divinity. However, regardless of the program of study all students must take core classes in Bible studies and religion. Student life is also centered on evangelism which is demonstrated through prayer groups, worship services, Bible studies and missions. Some of the clubs at SAGU are Women in Ministry, Men of Integrity and a group that engages in street ministry. There are also sports and recreational organizations and activities. Since community is so important in one’s religious and spiritual formation, student housing is an option that has proven highly beneficial to students wishing to immerse themselves in the SAGU experience. Student employment, grants, scholarships and loans are some of the sources available to eligible students for financial aid.
