Stephens College

Since 1833, Stephens College has been an educational powerhouse for women pursuing undergraduate or graduate degrees. But thanks to the development of distance learning and online courses, Stephens now educates men as well. Located in Columbia, Missouri, Stephens College is nestled right in between Columbia College and the University of Missouri. Class sizes are small at Stephens College, allowing for more individualized attention. Stephens offers over 50 majors and minors in areas such as Graphic Design, Film, Business, Education, Legal Studies, Theatre, Interior Design and more. There are also unique opportunities in equestrian studies available, with three different bachelor’s degrees allowing students to study horseback riding, participate in horse shows, and learn the business and education side of equestrian studies. For those interested in pursuing a master’s degree, there is also a number of graduate programs available. Stephens houses all students until graduation, and makes living on campus as comfortable as possible. There’s even pet-friendly housing available for students who want to bring their pets with them.
