L'Università di Milano-Bicocca was welcomed in the Magna Charta Universitatum . The association brings together over 900 universities from around the world, who share the principles according to which the universities are open to the needs of contemporary society and transmit critical culture through teaching and research. Depositary of the tradition of European humanism, but with the constant commitment to achieve universal knowledge, the university, in explicating its functions, ignores any geographical or political frontier and affirms the indispensable necessity of mutual knowledge and interaction of cultures.
