One of the largest universities in the state and the largest in the city of St. Louis, University of Missouri St. Louis offers comprehensive academics, student life opportunities and financial aid awards. UM St. Louis has different categories of degree programs, including bachelors, masters, and undergraduate and graduate certificates. Majors span the arts, sciences and professional fields, featuring well over 100 offerings, which include everything from Civil Engineering to Film Studies to Archaeology to Nursing. Students may also take on specializations within their major. For example, a Music major may specialize in Jazz Studies and a Philosophy major may specialize in Ethics. At the graduate level, students may pursue everything from an MFA in Creative Writing to a Master’s in Social Work to a degree in Optometry. Student life also features diverse offerings, including campus events such as workshops and lectures, dozens of student organizations and community service activities.
