Majors span the arts, sciences and professional fields, featuring well over 100 offerings, which include everything from Civil Engineering to Film Studies to Archaeology to Nursing. Students may also take on specializations within their major. For example, a Music major may specialize in Jazz Studies and a Philosophy major may specialize in Ethics. At the graduate level, students may pursue everything from an MFA in Creative Writing to a Master’s in Social Work to a degree in Optometry. Student life also features diverse offerings, including campus events such as workshops and lectures, dozens of student organizations and community service activities. Within the city of St. Louis there is also much to be found in terms of shopping, eating and the arts. Student financial aid awards are also plentiful.
