UTC Power provides fuel cells for on-site power, transportation, and space and defense applications. It is engaged in the development of integrated power applications and cooling and heating systems for the decentralized energy market. It has been engaged in major services such as supplying fuel cells to NASA for the Apollo project space missions and space shuttle missions carried out until 2010, and other key projects. It also commercialized a large, stationary fuel cell for use as a combined power plant. UTC Power is the developer of the PureCell Model 400 System. It provides 400 kilowatts of electricity and 1.7 million Btu/hour of heat. It has also designed, manufactured and installed more than 300 stationary fuel cells in 19 countries on six continents.
