VinduesIndustrien is a trade association representing windows and exterior doors. Memberships provide daylight, visibility and fresh air to Danish homes. The association, formerly known as VSO, was formed in 1977 - among other things. to stand together as an industry and to protect the Danish facade architecture. The Windows industry members are all connected to DVV, Dansk Vindues Verifikation, which is a Danish quality and warranty mark. All connected manufacturers receive inspection visits by independent inspectors that verify that the products meet the requirements set out in the Technical Provisions for DVV. All connected companies provide a 5-year warranty and are also affiliated with a DVV warranty scheme that ensures the private consumer in the event that a manufacturer can not live up to its warranty commitment. Danish windows and doors are also an export success. They are known for their beautiful finish and high quality abroad, and approx. 18% of companies' total revenue comes from exports.
