University Of International Business And Economics

The University of International Business and Economics (UIBE), situated in the northeast part of China's capital Beijing, was founded in 1951. In May 1997 UIBE was put on the list of ''Project 211'' universities, a governmental program aiming at turning about 100 Chinese universities into exceptionally high quality academic institutions in the new century. Since then UIBE has become a national first-rank multi-disciplinary comprehensive university in the fields of economics, finance, management, law teaching and researches under the leadership of the Ministry of Education. After over 50 years’ development, UIBE has become a multi-disciplinary university of finance and foreign studies, with economics, management, law, literature as the four kernel classes and preponderant disciplines, such as international trade and economics, law (international economic law), finance, business administration, foreign studies (foreign studies on business) as the characteristic disciplines. At present, UIBE consists of 15 schools, 1 department under its direct leadership, and sets up Department of Graduate Education and Department of Physical Education. There are totally 2 national key disciplines, 1 national research institute of humanities and social sciences, 2 Beijing municipal key disciplines, 1 Beijing municipal research Institute of humanities and social sciences, 2 post-doctoral research centers, 15 doctor programs, 39 master programs and 31 bachelor programs.
